*This is for the NEW SM building, JYP, CUBE and FNC. YG Ent. is on a different page, as its located in a different part of the city.
For all you crazed fanatics out there, I’m supplying you with the information you need to go stalk your fav idols!! 😉 (I can’t really talk, I’ve totally gone and hung out at SM for a bit in hopes of seeing someone famous. I got lucky and saw Onew and EXO on the day I went!) Even if you don’t get to see someone famous, it’s cool just to see where our beloved boys and girls work and practice. ^^
SM Ent. Cube, JYP and FNC are all within 10-15 minutes of each other. Cube and JYP are a whole like 50 feet apart, and FNC is just around the corner from SM. Here’s a master map of those four companies (gotten from here):
THIS PAGE has good directions to these places, but I took a different route that was also pretty easy, and probably about the same distance from the subway stations. Neither way is necessarily better, you can just choose which one would be more convenient for you. ^^
Cube and JYP
(Cube: B2ST, 4-Minute, BToB, Trouble Maker… JYP: 2PM, 2AM, Wonder Girls, Got7, Miss A, 15&)
JYP address: 41 Apgujeong-ro 79-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea
CUBE address: 125-20 Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea
Here’s a picture from Naver Maps of the location of JYP, (and CUBE) if you’d rather just take a taxi, or ask for directions:
- Take Line 7, and get off at Cheongdam station (청담역- Cheongdam yeok) and take exit 9.
- Walk straight a head until you reach the big intersection. This is a 5-10 minute walk. You will see a Citi bank across the street.
- Cross the street that has the Citibank. When you reached the other side of the street turn right. Walk until you see the Baskin-Robbins, that will be at the corner of a small, slanted road on your left side.
- Enter the small road and walk a few meters. You should see Cube right away on your right, and the JYP building ahead on your left and Dunkin Donuts also on your left. Be sure to go into the Dunkin Donuts! There are all kinds of things hanging up in there that are signed by JYP artists!!
- ***Don’t miss the Cube Studio Cafe!!*** Once you’ve passed Cube, and walked up to the intersection where JYP is, turn right and walk like 15 feet, you will see the Cube Cafe on your right! Be sure to stop on in there too! There are all kinds of Cube artists’ merch, including things you can buy! [More info for the Cube cafe can be found here]
Cube Ent building and the Cube Studio Cafe:
JYP Ent and the Dunkin Donuts beside it:
SM Entertainment and FNC Entertainment.
(Super Junior, Girls Generation, BoA, TVXQ/DBSK, SHINee, EXO, F(x), TRAX, Kangta, The Grace)
(FNC: CNBlue, FTIsland, Juniel, AOA)
SME address: 106-16 Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea
FNC: 111 Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul / 서울특별시 강남구 청담동 111
Here are some pictures from Naver Maps of FNC and SM that may be of help, especially if you decide to take a taxi:
- Ok so same as steps 1-3 for Cube/JYP, but don’t go all the way to Baskin Robins. Once you turn right at Citi Bank, walk until you see a post office on your left.
- Take the little road off to your left, directly after the post office. This little road is between the post office, and a tall building that looks like it has lots of holes in it. Haha.
- Walk straight down that road, maybe 10 minutes. Keep an eye out for FNC on your right.
- After you’ve stopped to take a picture of FNC and prayed that Yonghwa, Jonghyun or Lee Hongki would walk outside, keep walking straight until you come to the T.
- Turn right, and walk maybe 2 minutes, and you will see the SM building on your right. Its tall and blue, and will probably have a few fans or sasaengs chillin out front. 😉 If you wanna hang out for a while, I suggest taking a seat in the part across the street. 🙂
SM Global traing center address: 521 Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea
Note: If you want to see SM’s OLD building (currently being remodeled into a “global artists training center”) take the directions of the page I linked to above. Get off at Apgujeong Rodeo station on the Bundang Line and take Exit 2. Walk straight out of Exit 2, and in a minute or two you will see it right on your left. (You could also take Exit 3, in which case, walk straight, the same as Exit 2, but the building will be across the street from you). There will probably be some huge banner with some SM artists on it. The two times I was there, it was TXVQ/EXO and the second time it was all graffitied up. The graffiti had been done by Girls Generation, 2 hours prior to my arrival *table flip*.
What the old SM building/Global artist training center looked like the first time I went:

SM/JYP/Cube/FNC: euphorias, [here], [here], and [here]
SM Ent: [here]
SM training center: [here]
JYP: [here]
CUBE: [here]
what’s fnc address? not shown here? 😛
gotten from their website: 서울시 강남구 청담동 111 (주) FNC ENTERTAINMENT
fnc: 106-16 Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea
Approximately how long did it take you to walk to all the companies?
Um…FROM JYP/Cube-> FNC-> SME, without stopping, it will provide take about 15 minutes.
If you mean like from the subway station TO and AROUND to all the buildings, assuming I’d only stop briefly at each one, you probably want to give it at least 30-40 minutes.
Does anyone know what is the address for SM Entertainment in Hangul?
The image with a map up there that ways “SM 엔터테인멘트청담사옥” (the last of the map images) has the address on it, but I believe it should be:
에셈 엔터테인멘트 413-830 서울특별시 강남구 압구정동 521 에스엠엔터테인먼트
Okay. Thanks. 🙂
Why is JYP/SM/FNC part of Gangnam’s Apgujeong but Cube which is basically on the same block is part of Gangnam’s Cheongdam-dong? Is there like a cut off/does JYP and Cube sit on the edge of their districts?
Ha ya know, I’m not sure! But yeah they are right beside each other…
The way to go to the company is same from whenever we are right?
Hmm..I’m not sure I understand your question..:/
Does btob live there? Or they have another dorm address somewhere?
I don’t think any of them live there, it’s just the studio/company headquarters. I have no idea how to find where their dorm is….but that’s their private living space, I don’t usually try to find those places ha
Is hotel booking to korea in diferent site are really. Im afraid to booking, .can you suggest a cheap hotels room to stay in korea 😁
I’ve never actually booked a hotel in Korea, so I’m not sure. I always stayed in hostels/guest houses or used AirBnB to find a place. I highly recommend AirBnB though!! AirBnB has everything from guest houses to hostels, to rooms or houses for rent, and they can be really affordable or a little more pricey, depending on what you are wanting. But I personally love AirBnB because it often gives you opportunities to interact with locals, who can tell you good places to go or give you advice and stuff.
I also made a page about a REALLY SUPER AWESOME hostel in Hongdae, called Kpopstay. It is super clean, has fantastic facilities, really friendly staff, and pictures and posters of kpop bands all over 😀 It’s not the cheapest place, but the price for what you get is really worth it. I’ve stayed there twice and loved it. You can either go to the page I made for it for more info, or search it online. To make reservations there, email the owner, Mark, directly, since he can give you a better rate, as opposed to booking from an online site or something which may add on extra fees.
If you have other questions, let me know!
Hi, is the owner of the house (AirBnB house) can speak english? :))))
Which AirBnB house are you talking about?
Hey, may i know , is it SM’s new building or SM’s old building ??? Thanks for your advices
This is for the new building, but there are directions for the old one noted in this post as well.
If we want to send a letter to an idol in sm entertainment! what should be the adress?? old one or the new one?
can u tell me plss!!!!
I actually don’t know 😦 I’ve never tried sending anything to them. Although if it were either of them, old or new, I would say the new building. I know the new building is used for business and practice, and idols are there often. I dont know what the old building is used for.
are we allowed to go inside SM ENT BUILDING? ♥
No, sorry 😦
But if there are auditions you are allowed in the SM building right? Also I’m guessing these locations are accurate up to this day and haven’t changed?
I mean yeah, if you have an arranged reason to be there, then you can get in. But you can’t just walk in. I think the door is an automatic sliding door, (at least it was last time I was there) so if you walk up to it, I might open, so you could look in. But I think it’s just a lobby area.
I’ve seen food delivery people walk in haha.
Yep, as far as I know these are all still the same.
Oh ok! thanks so much:)
Also is this cube location different to the training centre? or are they the same thing?
I think what is called the “training center” is above the Cube Cafe?? I’ve heard rumors that occasionally people have seen Cube idols walking through the cafe cuz they practice above it, or something to that extent haha.
Also omg sorry i am asking so much but i am confused because on the sm page it says the location is 511 Yeongdongdae Street Coex Artium 6th floor, Gangnamgu, Seoul. But when i try to find it it doesnt come up, so i dont know which one is the right address?
Hmm, what do you mean the SM page? That address you posted is part of the SM Artium place in the COEX mall, which is in a different place than the SME headquarters (not too terribly far away, but walking it would take probably like half an hour). I think the 6th floor of the Artium is maybe the studio if I remember correctly… But yeah. The Artium is different than the SME building, its a place directed towards fans, whereas the SME building is the headquarters where idols practice, and where the offices are, etc. and fans aren’t allowed in.
I do have a page for the Artium made, and it’s definitely a place to check out!! Its so awesome haha
ahh, thank you very much! the sm page is just a location on their website but yeah you are right!:) i will visit the artium too it looks awesome!
Hi, would like to send a present for Yixing Birthday, at what address can I sent it ? Because I see different adresses and I don’t know where is the good one..
I actually don’t know either 😦 I’ve never tried to send or give anything. Sorry!
Hi, can I ask you something please? It’s okay if I can’t speak Korean? I mean, it’s okay if I will speak in English if I want to stay there for a while? Thank you!
Um, in general you will probably be okay, just speak simply and slowly, use gestures and point to things you want haha. But I would strongly encourage learning at least some basic phrases, maybe learn to read Korean (really easy). As far as getting around, Seoul is a pretty international city, so there’s actually a lot of english on signs and stuff, and in the subway system. It might be a little more tricky if you leave Seoul though. Most touristy places in Seoul will have English options for things (tours, brochures, etc).
thank you so much for this! really helped me when I was looking for the entertainment agencies buildings 😀
YAY I’m so glad!!
Ummm, can I ask?…when someone auditions in any entertainment there at koreaand doesnt know how to speak hangul or korean will they get passed the auditions?…. 🙂
I actually have no idea, I don’t know much about the auditioning process Although the more Korean you know, the easier it will be for you to understand what they’re saying to you/introduce yourself/make a better impression/etc. Say you do make it past auditions, you’re going to be pursuing a career in Korea, you’ll need to know Korean, and the more you know now, the less the company will have to invest in getting you tutors and such, ya know? That said, I know there are idols who hardly spoke Korean when they got signed.
It may also depend on the company your audition for though??
Anyway, don’t take me as an expert on this, but my time in Korea has taught me that that more Korean you know, the easier your time will be there in general, as it would be in any country. Learning to speak/understand the native language, at least to some extent, will make your life eaiser when you’re there. 🙂
Does the SM building accept fanmail??
I actually have no idea 😦
Sorry didn’t mean to send that msg twice :)) the first one disappeared… then reappeared
Hello I’m interested in going to all 4 companies (and maybe old SM building too) is the place near K-star Road? I really want to go from k-star road then walk to different companies. (if yes what station is best suitable)
Hope you reply 🙂
Yes they are all close to each other! Actually K-star road should be like right in front of the old SM building. If you take my directions to all the entertainment buildings, starting from the Apgujeong Rodeo station, you should actually come right out to K-star road, since it is on Apgujoeng Rodea street. 🙂
Hello is the entertainment company near K-star road? I want to go there then walk to the company (and maybe to the old SM building also hopefully) 🙂 If it is near what station is best suitable for me?
Hope you reply, really excited to get to see the companies
(answered your other post, i think you posted twice ^^)
how if i want to send post?
Um..sorry I dont understand…you want to send this post?
At the bottom of this post there should be some options to share it on facebook or google+ and a few more.
Or you could copy/paste the url of this page and send it in a text message or email or whatever.
I hope that helps??
Anyone could drink at the cube cafe right??
Yep! It’s open to the public.
do you know where is the dorm for exo and nct?jebal 😭😭😭
No, I don’t. Even if I did, I wouldn’t share it. Their dorms are private, and they deserve privacy.
OMG Thanks for this so much, I’ve get to see SF9 in front of FNC entertainment!!! Really appreciate this!!!
Omg yay!! I’m so glad!
I couldn’t find Baskin Robbins in Google Maps. Is there still Baskin Robbins near there? Or Google didn’t register it yet? I only found a 7/11 shop near it. Help pleaseeee
Don’t use Google Maps, its horribly out of date and Korea doesn’t support it. Try use Naver Maps. I just checked Naver Maps and it says the Baskin Robins is still there.
This is daebak! This helps us a lot when we went to Seoul last November. 🙂
Aaah yay!!
hello, do you know the address for coex artium mall, lotte mall and sum market?
There’s a page just for the SUM store in the COEX mall! Check it out! 🙂
And are you referring to a Lotte Department Store? There are a bunch of those, is there one specific one you are referring to?
Do you mean the one in Myeongdong with the SM Pop up store? Because I also have a page for that. 🙂 That’s the like “head branch”, and it has the SM Pop-Up store in the basement, and a mall on the upper floors. Look for the page called “SM Pop-Up store” and you’ll find it!
hello . I want to ask something. I want to send some gift the nct Tae Yong’s birthday but I don’t know the address and I don’t understand. What is the address and How should we write English or Korean ?
🙂 ❤
Ummm, good question, I’m not sure, I’ve never tried to send them anything. But I did a little research, and it seems you can just send things to the SM Entertainment building, and address it to Tae Yong or something. Don’t take me as a final word, but that’s what I found for Super Junior fanmail. And it would be the same building for any SM idol, so…this is what I would write:
NCT-TaeYong
S.M. Entertainment
521 Apgujeong 2-dong
Gangnam-gu, Seoul 135-906
South Korea
If you’re in Korea, I would suggest writing the address in Korean, but if you’re not, you can write in English. Korean postal service can process English mail, as long as it’s written right.
As for the letter itself, or whatever you’re sending to TaeYong, your best bet for him to most easily understand it, if he receives it, would be to write in Korean if you can. Even if it’s not perfect, they can probably still get the gist, and will feel touched that you put effort into writing in their language.
