SM Town Pop-Up Store

If you are an SM fan, or a fan of any SM artists, YOU NEED TO GO HERE. And have some cash at the ready, cuz stuff there is awesome, but it ain’t cheap!!

This store is located in Myeongdong, aka the mecca of Kpop mercandise. It is in the Young Plaza next to Lotte Department Store. It is also in the basement of the Young Plaza, and there aren’t really any signs above ground for the Pop-Up store, so look for the Young Plaza first, and then the Pop Up Store. UNLESS you are coming from the Euliro 1ga subway station on line 2, then you won’t even have to go above ground! I’m not sure how long this store will stay open, since it was supposed to only be open for 2 months, but due to popular demand, it has stayed open for almost a year. Hopefully it will continue to stay open for a while!!

If you do come in from the ground floor, find the escalators going down, and take them. There should be a few signs inside the plaza pointing to the pop up store.

Here are the hours:
Mon-Sun: 11:30 a.m. – 21:30 p.m

So basically, the easiest way to go is through Euljiro 1ga Station on line 2, (the green line), and head (I believe) towards Exits 7 and 8. *Don’t remember which one!* But you will not have to go above ground. You will go to the Exit as if you are going outside, but the Pop Up store will be in the side of exit, and, if it’s still there, a short staircase that looks like a giant piano and plays notes when you step on it. ๐Ÿ™‚

if you are hanging out in Myeongdong and don’t want to get back on the subway to find Euljiro 1ga, good. Don’t get back on the subway. You can walk from one side of Myeongdong to the other in 15-20 minutes, if you blind you yourself to all the stores and make no stops along the way. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Here’s a map, if you get off at Myeongdong Station (exit 6), here are two routs you could take to Young Plaza (feel free to correct me if this is wrong if you’ve been there! ^^) The blue route takes you directly through the heart of the Myeongdong shopping district, ย and the Red one takes you a little bit around the busiest shopping areas, if you want to avoid lots of people. ๐Ÿ˜‰ They’ll both probably take about the same amount of time.

    • um last time I was there, they had more recent stuff, like from Overdose and stuff. I haven’t been there since Exodus was released, but they probably have Exodus themed things now too. But they do seem to have scattered things from various eras…maybe even some MAMA era pictures if you look hard enough haha

    • WOW Sorry for the late response!! As far as I know it’s still open, and I’d be surprised if they didn’t have it…they always seemed to have pretty much all albums from all their artists, but if they dont have it here, the SUM store in the COEX mall definitely would!

  1. Hi! Does the store sells albums? I’ve looked and pictures and it looks like they don’t. Also do they sell the groups seasons greetings there? And also what is the average price of things? Like as said above, if they sell albums, average price? Or seasons greetings and posters?

    • As far as I know it’s still there! And last time I was there (a few months ago) they did have most of the albums I think! I don’t remember if they had like every version including all the repackage versions, but they do have most of them at least. Although I wasn’t looking specifically for EXO cds then, so I could easily have missed things!
